A simple way to help prevent injury and prepare your body to play is to make sure you're properly warming up before your training session, practice, or game. A good warm-up will accomplish five major things:

1. Prepare your Joints and Muscles for Increased Activity & Demands of Sport

2. Practice Motor Patterns

3. Increase Body Temperature

4. Central Nervous System Activation

5. Increase Heart Rate
